Simply Stampin Colour Challenge

Good morning,

It's time for another challenge over at Simply Stampin' and this week it's time for a colour challenge, I hope you like these bright and cheerful colours we've chosen for you

I was asked to make a card for a little boy turning 1! So I thought that these colours would be perfect I pulled out my Fox and Friends (my 'go to' set for younger children) and got to work with the colours, what do you think?

I paired the stamps with button die-cut using the Sweet Buttons embosslits die, it's so good, looks just like buttons but without the weight!

I hope that this has inspired you to pull out these colours and see what you can do!

Happy stampin', xx

Happy Birthday Seryn

Good Morning,

Today, my niece Seryn turns 5! So I had to make her a special birthday card, when I saw a cascading card on the web I knew it would be perfect, so I set to work, there was a lot of cutting out for this card, but I feel like it was worth it for the finished result, and I hope Seryn likes it too!

Happy birthday sweetie! xx

Simply Stampin' Sketch Week

Good Morning,

Last weeks 'To DIE For' challenge at Simply Stampin' had everyone pulling out there dies to make some fabulous cards, and we're hoping that this week you will be joining us once again as we challenge you with a sketch.

I had been asked to make a birthday card for a little boy who will be turning 2 soon who loves animals. So I have used this sketch to make a card for him using my Fox and Friends stamp set.

I need to apologise for the poor photo quality, the weather has not been great this week, the colours are much brighter in real life, honest! I went for a combo of Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Lucky Limeade. I have embossed the Daffodil background layer with my Polka Dots embossing folder, and set to work stamping my panels.

Myself and the girls over at Simply Stampin' would love to see how you get on with the sketch, so pop over and give it ago! xx

Simply Stampin' Week 40

Good morning!!!

It's almost time to welcome in the New Year, but before we all have a few too many drinks and head towards a stranger with lips puckered, it's time for the Simply Stampin' challenge, which this week is a sketch.
I absolutely adore bunting on cards, it's so pretty! My friend Steph and her hubby Mark, had a little baby boy late Tuesday night, who they have decided to call Matthew. So I just had to make a congratulations card for both of them, and I thought the bunting would be perfect for a baby card!

I have used two of the patterned papers from the aptly named Nursery Nest DSP pack, and then got to work with the little lion from the Fox and Friends set and my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig, stamping one lion in Marina Mist and all the rest in Lucky Limeade. I have cheated slightly and placed my greeting below the ribbon, I did try putting it on the ribbon but it didn't look right.

I do hope you'll join in the fun with this challenge, I can't wait to visit you and see what you come up with. xx

Less is More - theme week

Hello there,

This weekend I'm all about challenges, so of course I couldn't pass by the Less is More theme challenge, which this week is circles.

I immediately thought of my Circle Circus stamp set, and had an idea of making a Hungry Caterpillar out of the circles, (good thing I didn't) have just popped over to the blog to link up and found that someone else had that idea too!

When looking at my Circle Circus stamps I thought that one of them looked like bubbles so I looked through some more sets and pulled the whale out from Fox and Friends.

I masked off the edges of my vanilla CS and brayer Marina Mist into the centre, positioned the cute little whale, and set to work with my whisper white ink pad and my circles, which from now on are bubbles!!
I glittered a few bubbles, (the glue will dry clear but I had to take my chance and photograph the card in between showers) and cut out the Little Leaves die in Old Olive and Certainly Celery to look like seaweed.

I decided after much deliberation not to add a sentiment in case this made it over crowded.

Hope you like my fun take on the theme - xx

Card Candy Swap

Hi there!

Sometimes I look at other peoples cards and wish I had thought of what they had come up with, does that ever happen to you?

Well I would like to do a Card Candy swap, and I'm looking for others who would like to join in. I'm hoping for enough takers to do one swap of stamp set candy and one swap of sentiment candy.

Now for those of you who don't know Card Candy is stamped image or 'topper' that is either the main image of a card or a finishing touch to a card. Here is an example that I have quickly put together with the Fox and Friends set.

How it works is each person who would like to participate would make 5-6 elements from one stamp set, all items used MUST be stampin' up, these would need to be posted to me with a stamped addressed envelope also included so that I can post your candy onto you.

If you or a friend would like to join in please contact me by email, letting me know if you would prefer to do images or sentiments, you can take more than one place if you wanted to get more candy in return.

See you soon xx

Theo and friends

I love the Fox and friends set in the current catalogue, it's so cute! I think the owl is my favourite cute little character, but they are all so cute it's a close call.
When my sister asked me a make a card for a little boy called Theo who will be turning 1 in march I knew exactly which stamp set I wanted to use.

I teamed the fab Fox and friends, with the Broadsheet alphabet to make it personalised, this set is great for monograms.
Marina Mist is one of my favourite colours so I got to use all my favourite things for this card!
As well as my new punch, the scallop trim border punch which I love, love, love!!

Here's the recipe,
Stamps, Fox and friends, Broadsheet alphabet
Card stock, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Ink, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip.
Accessories, Scallop circle punch, Scallop trim border punch, Marina Mist satin ribbon, Basic rhinestone, White gel pen, Sponge dauber (for inking around edge of panel)

Have a great (if not a little wet) weekend xx
