More From My Stash

Hi there,

Me again, you're probably getting bored of me know but I'm back with another card for the Just Add Ink challenge to use something from your stash. I am a very naughty crafter, I sometimes get caught up in wanting everything I can afford and then I forget what I have so I am loving this challenge. I decided once again to pull out a retired stamp set from Sale-a-bration, it's such a shame that these stamp sets are only available for two months of the year, especially as they are soooo pretty. I have chosen Bliss, and teamed it with some DSP from the Greenhouse Gala set.

It was great to ink this baby up again, I may have another go at this challenge while I'm searching through my stash, try it, it's great fun! xx

Crafty Cardmakers Wedding

Hello,

Well it's the start of the Easter bank holiday weekend, which for me means extra crafty time, as I only really get chance to get creative at the weekends.

Today I have teamed a challenge with a card I have been asked to make, well not really teamed I was asked to make a wedding card and the challenge this fortnight at Crafty Cardmakers is a wedding card with at optional extra of red, white and blue, for a royal twist. I have just stuck to wedding.

Here's my card

I borrowed the Full Heart Punch from Lou (thanks Lou!) to make the bride and groom, I heat embossed the flourish from Baroque Motifs with Versamark ink and sponged some Champagne mist shimmer paint over it to give it a bit of sparkle, don't know if you can see that well in this picture. The background is the flourish from this year's SAB set Bliss, stamped repeatedly using my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig, I don't know what I would do with out this handy little tool!

The recipe
Stamps, Baroque motifs, Bliss SAB
Paper, whisper white CS, Basic black CS
Ink, Staz on, Versamark
Accessories, Full Heart punch, Clear Embossing Powder, Shimmer paint, Sponge dauber, Pearls, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dimensionals, Scallop border punch.

Hopefully this time I've read the brief for this challenge properly unlike last time when, I missed off half of the requirements!! Oops.

Happy Craftin'
xx

what's the DL?

Well hello there!

I always seem to be making A5 or square cards so I thought that I'd make a long thin card today (DL card), I had been asked to make a card with Victoria on the front, and was a little worried that it wouldn't fit so a long card was the answer to my problem. I was also asked that the card have a 1920's feel, now I wasn't quite sure what that meant be I thought decadent and lavish, I hope I got it right.

I used the flourish from the now retired Bliss set and my stamp-a-ma-jig ( I don't know where I would be without this nifty piece of equipment) to create the background paper, which is choc chip ink stamped onto Rich razzleberry CS. With my much loved Broadsheet alphabet set.

Here's the recipe
Stamps, Bliss (retired SAB) Broadsheet alphabet
Paper, Whisper white CS, Basic black CS, Rich razzleberry CS,
Ink, Rich razzleberry, Chocolate chip
Accessories, basic rhinestones, Stamp-a-ma-jig, and ribbon (from my pre-SU stash)

I hope this fits the bill.
Have fun and get inky xx

Blissful birthday

Every card that I make at the moment seems to be made with the bliss set, I don't know why my hands just seem to head directly for it when I'm creating.
Today's card has a very girly theme, I've used the Sweet and sour speciality papers, I love them especially the glazed one which I have used on this card. I never thought pink and orange would make a good combo but I was wrong!

I love the butterfly from this set, I think it's because it's more delicate than butterflies in other sets, but still simple enough to cut out easily.

Here's the recipe
Stamps, Bliss SAB
Paper, Sweet and Sour speciality, Rich razzleberry CS Rose red CS
Ink, Rich razzleberry, Versamark (I have used the flower stamp on the back ground of the pink squares)
Accessories, Rich razzleberry taffeta ribbon, scallop trim border punch, dimensionals

Hope you have a great weekend, it's perfect weather for crafting!

Anniversary bliss

As promised here is another of the anniversary cards that I have made for my sister.
For this one I have used another of the FREE sale-a-bration stamp sets, it's hard to believe that they could give away such gorgeous stamp sets for free!
The bliss set is timelessly elegant and stylish, and looks great in simple colour combos, I have used it today with basic black and very vanilla.
I hope you'll agree that it turned out quite well.

The love letter paper pack has some great pieces in black and vanilla (as shown above) and also red and vanilla, it makes the perfect background to a card, I've used mine so much I'm going to have to get another!

Here's the recipe

Stamps, Bliss SAB
Paper, Love letter paper pack, Basic black CS, Very vanilla CS,
Ink, Basic black

Hope you'll pop back soon xx

Tall and skinny? Not at all like me!

I normally tend to make A6 or square cards but I was rummaging through my craft room drawers at the weekend and came across a few tall thin card blanks that I bought forever ago, so I thought I'd try something different. Now I'm not saying that I'll be making them all the time but it's nice to have a change every now and then, and this was a good change I hope you'll agree.

Apologises for the terribly shadowy picture, I wanted to get them all photographed before the light went and time was not on my side, when I get creative time just flies by!
I had lots of little pieces of the designer love letter paper left over and didn't want to waste any, they are so pretty that it would be a crime to throw them away!

Here's the recipe
Stamps, Because I Care, Just Believe, Bliss SAB
Paper, Love Letter, Very Vanilla, Real Red
Ink, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Dimensionals

Have a good evening,
