Simply Stampin Challenge

Good morning crafters,

It's time for a brand new challenge over at Simply Stampin' this week we are asking you to DIY DSP so just to be clear we want you to make you very own Designer Series Paper, and use it in a project.

I am still trying to get ahead for Christmas, so for my DSP I went with my fav new Christmas stamp set Watercolour Winter, It's a very versatile set, so it's perfect for this type of challenge.

I started off by choosing my stamps, I decided to go with the 2 step poinsettias, I was planning to just use the outline image but then change my mind and decided to alternate the block image and the outline. here is how my DSP turned out.

I started to make my card and then decided, I'd make a matching card and tag set, plus I still have plenty of my DSP left over to make something else!!

I teamed Real Red, Whisper White, and the Champagne Glimmer paper for real added glamour, and the great thing about it is you only need to use alittle for that great wow effect!

I wanted my DSP to be the main focus of the card and tag so I've tried to keep them pretty simple, I hope you like them, and that myself and the rest of the DT have inspired you to create your very own DSP and join in the challenge with us!

Can't wait to see you designs, xx

Simply Stampin' Sketch Week

Hello there,

Is it Saturday already?! I have been suffering with a cough/cold this week so all the days seem to have merged into one, I am feeling a bit more human today though, so that's a good sign!

Anyway enough of my moaning, lets get on with this weeks challenge, and its back to a sketch.

Once I get all my on-mass cards finished I like to concentrate on larger cards for family, so I have stretched this sketch to use it for an A5 card.

I have used the large stamp from the Beautiful Season set, which I have coloured with my markers, and teamed it with a couple of papers from the Holly Bouquet DSP. The swirl in the background is from Everything Eleanor, and I have doubled up on the punched edge at the bottom of the image, I always think it makes more of an impact when you layer the punched edges together.

I do hope that you'll join me and the rest of the Design Team over at the Simply Stampin' Challenge blog this week.

Thanks for stopping by, xx

Something For Christmas

Good evening,

Tonight I'd like to share with you a card that I have made using a brand new a la carte stamp called Something For Christmas, it features three sentiments Christmas sentiments all in a row with baubles hanging from the last one.

For this card I have used marker pens to colour each of the sentiments a different shade of blue, Night of Navy, Marina Mist and a new in-colour Island Indigo, stamped repeatedly to make my own backing paper.
I have mixed this new stamp with a current one, Tree Trimmings, Serene Snowflakes and a little shimmer paint for that added Christmas sparkle.

Hope you like it, xx

My New Favourite Christmas Stamp

Good Afternoon,

I can't hold it in any longer, I have to share a new stamp set with you. This is my favourite new Christmas stamp set, it has a gorgeous image and several great sentiments, and I'm sure by Christmas you will be sick of the sight of this one!

I have combined this new stamp set called Beautiful Season, with the final Viva La Verve sketch for this month, I must get around to making the other two that I haven't done for this month yet!

I have taken my colour palette from The shabby Tea Room, this week's challenge is entitled 'Vintage White', and the colours I have chosen to use from the selection are, Vanilla, Crumb Cake (Kraft), and Chocolate Chip. I have also used another new stamp, called Parlour Prints. I love the vintage style of this stunning background stamp.

I wanted to show you a close up of the image it is so delicate, this time I have left it uncoloured except for a little Champagne shimmer paint which I've applied to the berries which a cotton bud to get little perfect circles of shimmer.

Of course it looks even more pretty and sparkly in real life.

I hope my little sneak peek has you even more excited about the new catalogue, only a week to wait, yippee!! xx
